  2. do a tutorial for Stripe Payment Intents API, due to the new law https://stripe.com/docs/stripe-js/elements/quickstart coming in September.

The new law will impact companies in Europe and also companies serving European customers: "Starting in September 2019, a new regulation called Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) will require businesses in Europe to request additional authentication for online payments.

Businesses in Europe should use Elements with the Payment Intents API instead of the Charges API to prepare for SCA. Follow the Payment Intents API Quickstart to get started."

  4. Explain how to parse user input with Regex

Twitter, Facebook, and plenty of other sites are parsing out @ and # symbols to add a huge amount of flexiblity to their applications with minimal UI attached to it. It would be fantastic to talk about how this can be done in your own applications.

  5. Would love a guide to connection pools and app and database provisioning

Especially in the context of Heroku, Postgres, OpenRedis, Unicorn, Foreman & Sidekiq. I'm sick of the time-out errors etc and I'm sure many others are too.

  12. Turbolinks w/ jQuery

Setting up and using turbo links without "breaking" jQuery. I know / have read a lot of posts about people hating turbo links. I think they just don't know how to use it properly. I have also had issues with turbo links and jQuery.

    Thanks Chris gorails rocks.

  13. TDD series

How about releasing some videos on TDD? Maybe show some videos with some of the most popular gems individually and one more series that shows the TDD workflow with a combination of gems (eg use rspec, capybara and factory girl together for tdd)

  14. Pub/Sub with message_bus (made by Discourse for use in production)

This is a gem made by Discourse guys (https://github.com/SamSaffron/message_bus) that is supposed & used in production. Rather than using Faye, they thought this is a better solution for these reasons https://samsaffron.com/archive/2015/12/29/websockets-caution-required (got popular some time ago on HackerNews). Please make an episode on this, I think it would benefit a lot of your subscribers.

  18. Return deploy log URL from deploy request

Currently the JSON includes a "success" and "message" key. I use a rake task to initiate a deploy from the CLI often and it would be nice if I could update the task to automatically open the log in my browser. Having another key with the URL for the deploy log would allow me to do that.
